I've been working with dogs and in the veterinary field for over 50 years. This is a small clipper head and it is to be used for between paw pads, behind ears, clearing the eyes and sanitary areas. It is quiet and dogs don't object to these small clippers. I'm a big fan of this trimmer and I think it is well worth the price.
